My furniture is traditional arts and crafts style with mortise and tenon joinery, beautifully grained wood and relief carvings, all with a strong emphasis on hand-work.

Furniture is my passion, but I also construct custom built-ins, bookcases and cabinetry, as well as lathe turned bowls and accessories.

how it's made..........It's in the details.

My first gunstock for one of my rifles, model 700 Remington .270. Started from scratch from a piece of curly soft maple that had been seasoned for 10 plus years. All inletting was done by hand with inletting black. The stock is custom to my build. I didn't get too carried away with it but the butt of the stock has a 5 degree toe out to fit into my shoulder, and the length of pull is for my build.
For the finish I used a stain that I liked with many, many hand rub coats of Danish oil and tru oil, and finally buffed with wax to repel water.  Here is a brief photo documentary...

How about a 26' x 12', 3" thick black walnut bar top.  Four sections with butterfly detail in each mitered corner.  Each section weighing approximately 600 Lbs.
